The 8th Geological Calamity Prevention Forum, organized by the geological calamity prevention engineering commission under its research branch of China Geological Association and co-organized by Wuxi Shuangfan (Jinfan ) Drilling Equipment Ltd. was opened in Wuxi on 16-18 April, 2007.    About 80 people from research institutes and universities of geoplogical, water power, in-ferrous metal and railways fields, and from manufacturers of anchoring drilling machines and drilling tools participated in the forum.    The forum is an important academic meeting on domestic geological calamity prevention technology. It covered the announcement and introduction of the latest research results in China, in-depth academic exchange on all angles of geological calamity prevention. The meeting facilitated the development and upgrade of our geological calamity prevention technology.    Mr. Luo Qiang, chairman of Wuxi Shuangfan (Jinfan) Drilling Equipment Ltd. expressed warm welcome to all forum participants at the opening ceremony and Mr. Zhu Guoping, general manager of Wuxi Shuangfan (Jinfan) Drilling Equipment Ltd. shared his thesis on “The research experiment of drilling technology on deep gravel sand” at the meeting and introduced company’s products.    The high-level people of the association and other participants paid a special visit to the premises of Wuxi Shuangfan (Jinfan) Drilling Equipment Ltd. and showed the great interest to both traditional and newly designed products.
